Hope College Small Group Bible studies are led by current Hope students and meet at various times throughout the week. This campus-wide study is a great way to connect with God and with other students. Come grow and learn with us while we study the book of Exodus for the spring 2024 semester!

Chaplain- and Faculty-Led Groups

Alpha
  • Monday evenings at Campus Ministries in the Gathering Room, 5鈥6:30 p.m.

Do you wish to understand the basics of the Christian faith a little better? Alpha is a 12-week series that has something to offer everyone, from the person with no prior experience with the church or things of faith to the person who has been attending church their whole lives. We will watch a video, each of which are designed to engage and inspire conversation. Join Chaplain Charly Pe帽a beginning in January 2024.

 
Athletics Core Devotions
  • Wednesday mornings, 7:15 a.m.

Midweek devotional for all athletes over coffee and donuts with Matt Margaron, chaplain of athletics, in the Campus Ministries Living Room.

Creativity and the Creator
  • Wednesdays from 4鈥5 p.m. in the Living Room at the Campus Ministries house
This group, hosted by Professor Greg Lookerse and Josh Bishop, will be a space for conversation around creative practice and Christian faith. If you are interested in reflecting on faith and art, please join us every Wednesday from 4鈥5 p.m. in the living room at the Campus Ministries house.
 

Faith & Spanish
  • Tuesdays at 11 a.m. in the Gathering Room at Campus Ministries

Come explore faith formation and speak in Spanish with Chaplain Charly Pe帽a and Professor Daniel Woolsey.

Global Student Ministry
  • Sundays twice monthly, 6 p.m. in DeWitt Learning Lab 025

Are you an international student or global minded? Do you love gathering with Christians from around the world? This group meets twice monthly on Sunday nights at 6 p.m. in the Dimnent basement. Join us for fun, food and encouraging conversation.

Guys鈥 Night
  • Thursdays, 6:30 p.m., Campus Ministries, beginning February 1

The Theme for Guys鈥 Night this Spring will be 鈥淜ingdom Keys.鈥 This group of guys comes together once a week to fellowship, break bread, pray and ponder the word of God. This spring, we will wrestle with different keys of manhood (spiritual disciplines, prayer, fasting, fitness, relationships, accountability, etc.). Our meetings will begin February 1 and conclude April 25. Chaplain Shomari Tate leads these sessions 鈥 please email him with any questions at tate@hope.edu. Sessions will meet on Thursdays from 6:30鈥8:30 p.m. at the Campus Ministries house in the Gathering Room. 

Journeys of Faith
  • Wednesday evenings, 7 p.m.

Revelation Bible Study
  • Thursday mornings, 11 a.m.

Wondering about dragons and beasts, Lambs and heaven? Curious about end times or wanting an in-depth Bible study experience? Join us for a 6-week study starting January 18. We will be reading parts of N.T. Wright鈥檚 Revelation for Everyone Bible Study Guide. Books provided.

The After College Experience(Spring Only)

This group is an opportunity for graduating spring seniors to prepare for pursuing a life of faith after college. Seniors will meet with chaplains Jill Nelson and Matt Margaron weekly to have honest conversations about calling, relationships, money and so much more.
